Business card QR code generator
A business card QR code lets anyone save your contact details in one tap — no typing, no transcribing from a card they will lose. Fill in the vCard form below, download a print-ready SVG, and hand it to your print shop. It's free, needs no account, and never expires.

01
Fill in your contact details
Enter your name, phone, email, company, and job title. Add a website if you have one. Only the fields you fill go into the code.
02
Match it to your card
Colors, rounded dots, and a logo are free. Keep the code darker than its background and leave a white margin around it — scanners need both.
03
Download the SVG for print
Print shops want vector files. SVG stays sharp at any size and resolution, with no watermark. PNG up to 4096px works if your designer needs raster.
Worth knowing
Print it at least 0.8 in (2 cm) wide
Smaller codes fail at arm's length. On a standard 3.5 × 2 in card, 0.8 in fits a corner — or give it the whole back.
Keep the data light
Every field makes the code denser, and dense codes need more space to scan. Name, phone, and email usually cover it. Skip the postal address.
Test a printed proof
Scan the actual card, not your screen. Matte stock scans better than gloss, which glares under light. One proof costs less than 500 reprints.
If your link will change
Cards get printed 500 at a time. Numbers, titles, and brokerages change more often than that. A dynamic QR code prints a short link instead of fixed details — point it at a profile page and edit the page whenever your role changes. Old cards keep working. Realtors and sales reps do this so a box of last year's cards never goes in the bin. Two dynamic codes are free, and per the Qranite policy they keep redirecting even if you stop paying.
About dynamic codesCommon questions
How big should a QR code be on a business card?
At least 0.8 inches (2 cm) square. That scans reliably from 8-10 inches away — about how far someone holds a card. Smaller saves space and costs you scans.
Does a business card QR code expire?
No. A static vCard code stores your contact details in the image itself. Nothing depends on a server, ours included, so it works as long as the card exists.
What file format should I give my print shop?
SVG. It's vector, so it stays crisp at any size and print resolution. Qranite exports SVG free with no watermark. Use PNG at 4096px only if your printer can't take vectors.
What happens when my phone number changes?
A static code encodes the number itself, so old cards keep the old number. If your details change often, use a dynamic code pointing at a profile page you can edit anytime.
Do people need an app to scan it?
No. The built-in camera on iPhone (iOS 11+) and Android (10+) reads the code and offers to save the contact in one tap.
