01

Enter your network details

Type your network name (SSID) and password exactly as your router has them. Both are case-sensitive. Pick WPA unless your router is very old.

02

Style it if you like

Colors, rounded dots, and a logo are free. Keep the code darker than the background — scanners read contrast.

03

Download and print

SVG scales to any size for print. PNG up to 4096px works everywhere else. Tape it to the fridge, frame it on the counter, or laminate it for the patio.

Worth knowing

Your password stays on your device

Qranite generates the code in your browser. Your WiFi password is never sent to us — or anyone. Most generators can't say that.

Test before you print

Scan it once with your own phone. If your phone connects, every modern iPhone and Android will.

Changed your password?

A WiFi code encodes the password itself, so you'll need a new code. Printing a fresh one takes thirty seconds and costs nothing.

Common questions

Does a WiFi QR code expire?

Not here. The code contains your network name and password directly — nothing depends on our servers. It works until you change your WiFi password.

Is it safe to put my WiFi password in a QR code?

The password is encoded in the image, so anyone who scans it can join. Treat the printed code like the password itself: fine on the fridge, unwise in a shop window.

Do guests need an app to scan it?

No. The built-in camera on iPhone (iOS 11+) and Android (10+) recognizes WiFi codes and offers to join the network in one tap.

Which security type should I pick?

WPA covers WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 — almost every router since 2006. Pick WEP only for very old hardware, or Open for networks with no password.

Why is this free? What's the catch?

Static codes cost us nothing — they're generated in your browser. We make money on dynamic codes for businesses that need editable links and scan stats. The free tool is the marketing.
